Invisible grief·Reflection

Grieving versions of yourself

Some losses are not visible to others. Identity shifts, ageing, illness, relationship changes and life transitions can all carry grief.

Not all grief is for people we have lost.

Sometimes we grieve who we used to be — a younger self, a previous role, an identity that no longer fits.

This kind of grief is real, even when it is invisible to others.
